More on UCPC's involvement in the Yukon River Flooding
University Community Presbyterian Church, in Fairbanks, got involved "Big Time" when members of the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) National Training Team* provided training for Long Term Flood Recovery in early August, 2009. An immediate need was for hospitality for work teams coming from the lower 48 to build houses and make repairs in Eagle, Eagle Village, Tanana and Stevens Village.

The church began housing with a group of 15 Mennonites headed to Eagle.
